PROCEDURES

At Gastro Care, your safety and comfort are our top priorities. Our procedures are performed using the latest technology and techniques in a clean, fully accredited outpatient environment. We take the time to explain every step of the process so you know what to expect before, during, and after your procedure.

Each procedure is performed by our experienced, board-certified gastroenterologists, Dr. Green and Dr. Challa, alongside a skilled team of nurses and medical professionals. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care with a personal touch, ensuring that every patient feels informed, supported, and confident in their care.

Bowel Control Therapy

Bowel Control Therapy is an advanced treatment for patients who experience chronic bowel incontinence. Using gentle electrical stimulation, this therapy helps restore normal bowel function and improves quality of life.

Colonoscopy (Screening & Diagnostic)

A Colonoscopy is used to examine the entire colon and rectum for abnormalities or disease. It’s the most effective way to screen for colon cancer and remove precancerous polyps before they develop into cancer. Most patients return home shortly after the procedure.

EGD (Upper Endoscopy)

An EGD, or Upper Endoscopy, allows your doctor to examine the esophagus, stomach, and upper small intestine using a flexible scope. It helps diagnose and treat issues such as heartburn, ulcers, difficulty swallowing, or upper abdominal pain.

Flexible Sigmoidoscopy

This procedure examines the lower part of the colon and rectum to investigate symptoms like rectal bleeding, diarrhea, or changes in bowel habits. It can also be used as part of colon cancer screening in certain patients.

Hemorrhoid Treatment & Banding

Hemorrhoid Banding is a quick, non-surgical procedure that effectively treats internal hemorrhoids by placing a small band around the swollen tissue, causing it to shrink and fall off naturally. Most patients experience minimal discomfort and fast relief.

InterStim

InterStim therapy is a type of neuromodulation used to treat chronic bowel control issues by gently stimulating the sacral nerves that regulate bowel function. It’s a safe and effective solution for patients who have not responded to other treatments.

MiVu

MiVu is a state-of-the-art diagnostic procedure that uses advanced imaging to help physicians identify changes in esophageal tissue. It allows for earlier detection and more accurate diagnosis of conditions such as Barrett’s esophagus.
