At Gastro Care, our mission is to deliver exceptional gastrointestinal care in a compassionate, safe, and patient-focused environment. We are dedicated to providing each patient with the highest standard of care, using the latest medical technology in a setting that promotes comfort and peace of mind.
Who We Are
Gastro Care is an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) located in Springfield, Ohio, right next door to Gastro Health – Springfield. Our center was developed to offer patients a more comfortable and convenient alternative to hospital-based procedures, while maintaining the same level of safety and medical excellence.
Many of the patients we serve come to us through Gastro Health – Springfield, where our physicians first meet with you to discuss your symptoms, diagnostic needs, and treatment options. When a procedure is needed, our Gastro Care team works closely with your physician to ensure a seamless and personalized experience from start to finish.

MEET OUR PHYSICIANS
Dr. Challa, MD
Dr. Challa Ajit has been a practicing gastroenterologist in Springfield, Ohio for over 15 years and has a special passion for colon cancer prevention and treating various liver disorders. Dr. Challa is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He obtained his internship from Thomas Jefferson University and fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He is also a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) from London, England. He has performed well over 20,000 procedures.
Dr. Green, MD
Dr. Darin Green is a board certified Proctologist who has been in practice since 1996. He did his undergraduate work at Wright State University and attended medical school at Ohio University. He did his internship and residency at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He is currently part of Providence Medical Group and has several satellite offices and colonoscopy privileges at multiple institutions and facilities. Dr. Green remains passionate about preventing colorectal cancer by performing quality colonoscopies as well as treating problems and diseases of the colon and rectum.
